Men's Ministries Faith without works is Dead (James 2:20) Our Mission
Mentoring There is nothing more important to the development of a young boy than to have meaningful interaction with a godly man. There are many boys who in some way are connected with Bethel that do not have a godly man in their lives to influence them and we need to fill that need. It does not take a great teaching ability or talent. It only takes your time and your attention. Taking a boy to a ball game, or fishing or having him help you work on your car will go a long way in helping to build godly character in that young man. Discipleship Our Lord commanded us to go into all the world and make disciples. That command applies not only to the world at large, but also to our world around us. Disciplining is influencing other to become more like Christ. The wisdom of the Proverbs tells us that as iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. As we interact with each other on a spiritual level, we encourage and strengthen one another, and help to bring into clearer focus what it means to be a disciple of Christ Facilities As Christian who represent God, it is fitting that our church buildings reflect the love and commitment with it appearance, neatness, and cleanliness, as well as its structural soundness Routine maintenance must be consistently carried out and special projects completed from time to time in order to have our church facility be the best it can be. Whether in maintenance or improvement projects, we should strive to make our facilities both pleasing to God and a valuable asset in drawing people to our church. Events Your involvement, as men, in the life of this church is critical to our success. Whether in a leadership role or as a supporting player, it is vital to have men visibly active in the events of this church.
God has gifted each of us in different ways. Our responsibility is to use those gifts for His glory. Different events will call for different gifts, but we all can play a part in what is happening through our church's ministries. What is required here can be summed up in the phrase, "having a servant's heart." It is not ability, but availability that is the key. |
