Women's Ministries

Bethel women minister in many different ways, sharing the love of the Lord, Jesus Christ throughout our community. Some of the ministry events are outlined here.

Women ' s Ministries hosted a retreat for about 25 women here at Bethel. It was a wonderful day of ministry in workshops led by Linda Monahan and Janet Frye. After a box lunch special speaker, Shirley Funkhouser, shared with us about the women of "Bethel Camp". She challenged us to reach out into our community and share the Lord with others. She exhorted us to always be aware that other women -young and old -were watching to see how we used our faith to live a life of faithfulness before others.

The annual "Walk for LifeCare" is an important event at Bethel. The ladies were able to collect pledges amounting to about $1000, all of which was donated to LifeCare. 

Bethel ladies attended the wonderful "Breaking Free" bible studies. Darla Farmer led the day sessions and Sue Brust led the evening sessions. It truly was a time of freedom breaking for many of our women. Be on the lookout as these women begin to minister to others in their freedom.

Each November many Bethel women attend the women's convention in Indianapolis. Women of every age group enjoy the fellowship, teaching and worship of the annual conference.

Giving is a fundamental of the Women's ministry program. Examples are filled a dresser for a very needy LifeCare mom or giving Christmas gifts to children in the local community.

The Bethel women also organize the annual Christmas Dinner for the congregation. It is not only a time of fellowship but also a time when the congregation shares their wealth with other ministries.
